The Power Probe ECT3000 Electrical Circuit Tracer uses an intelligent transmitter and receiver to help technicians quickly locate shorts, open circuits, wire breaks, switches, intermittent faults and the source of severe battery drains. Connect the transmitter to an isolated circuit to determine whether an open or short condition is present, then use the receiver to follow the signal through the vehicle wiring and identify the direction and location of the fault. Adjustable sensitivity from 1-inch to 8-inch helps trace circuits without unnecessarily removing panels, molding or carpet, while visual navigation and audible indicators assist with locating short-to-ground conditions. The ECT3000 operates on 12V and 24V DC electrical systems and can be used on cars, boats, RVs, light-duty trucks, heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
